I've never seen Kimba myself to be honest but I am sick of the silly people arguing over it >.< I can name a lot of things Disney had "supposedly" stole from. Like The Thief of Bagdad inspired Aladdin and La Belle et La Bete inspired Beauty and the Beast!

since I've just got up, I don't have much energy to think straight let alone explain... anyhow;
why the whole simba/kimba thing bothers me is because I have been a victim of art theft, as have a few of my friends to the point one person on Neopets even copied my character's personality, story and did a lame attempt to copy the bg of my char's petpage, and THEN had the nerve to try to be my 'BFF'. it pains me to see my friends cry when THEY'RE the ones getting banned just because they're own art got stolen, because the thieve's posse of 14-year old fanbrats report the shit out of them and make their online experience a living hell :/

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I give up on simba/kimba now. :/ whenever I try to explain it comes out wrong. but after a lot of thorough reading, I do indeed liken simba being like the person I explained above, copying off of/from Kimba and then trying to be cosy. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but dammit, we've all been victims once. we're entitled to speak our mind, as you have above, and as I am now.

there's my 2 cents. that being said, I don't think Walt was to ever blame for this. Walt himself was a good man, and I just wish people would consider HIM and Osamu Tezuka more (and to random hate mobs/short-tempered little children reading this, this comment is intended for the artist alone, who has always replied to me maturely. if you can't control your rage over an opinion different to your own, then just don't comment at all. thank you.)

First off, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to you. Although I can understand why Kimba fans out there are a little ornery about the similairties with the Lion King, it still is stupid to make such a big deal about it and flame all over the place. I also would like to thank you for mentioning how hard it was for the Disney animators to make the Lion King, as it is not easy to make ANY kind of animated film (unless you count some of the crap that came out in the 60's.)

I love this, you chose two of the best screenshots of them and I'll be sure to put this into my Journal when I get a Sub some day.
